In his talk, he highlighted the importance of cow protection and encouraged the attendees to further increase their practical engagement in cow protection.
Above documentary on the campaign was displayed at the meeting and several attendees deeply appreciated the message and expressed their enthusiasm to contribute in various ways to the mission. They invited the Sri Surabhi Campaign team members to visit temples across India to make similar presentations and inspire devotees.[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][fusion_builder_column type=”1_3″ last=”yes” spacing=”yes” center_content=”no” hide_on_mobile=”no” background_color=”” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” background_position=”left top” border_size=”0px” border_color=”” border_style=”” padding=”” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”” animation_type=”” animation_direction=”” animation_speed=”0.1″ class=”” id=””][fusion_imageframe lightbox=”yes” lightbox_image=”http://www.srisurabhi.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/IMG_1855-IIAC-Conference-1.jpg” style_type=”none” bordercolor=”” bordersize=”0px” borderradius=”0″ stylecolor=”” align=”none” link=”” linktarget=”_self” animation_type=”0″ animation_direction=”down” animation_speed=”0.1″ hide_on_mobile=”no” class=”” id=””] [/fusion_imageframe][/fusion_builder_column][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][fusion_text]The response was overwhelming. After showing the Surabhi Campaign documentary to the more than 100 ISKCON leaders who had gathered from different parts of India at the new ISKCON Kanpur temple, we were pleasantly surprised to receive visiting cards from many of the delegates who personally invited members of IDVM-India to visit their centers for more discussions and presentations.[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][fusion_youtube id=”UCZzx11-S-Q” width=”853″ height=”480″ autoplay=”no” api_params=”” class=””/][fusion_text]Many delegates wanted a copy of the video on their pen drive since we did not have copies of the DVD with us. One of the GBC members who arrived the following day commented: “Since I have come to Kanpur, everyone is talking about the cow presentation you made yesterday. How can I get a copy?” This all happened during the ICC (ISKCON Continental Committee) meetings held from April 5 to 6 and on which our Surabhi Campaign Continental Coordinator, His Grace Sri Rama das reported in a separate article.
Immediately following these meetings was another series of meetings for the members of the ISKCON India Advisory Committee (IIAC) from April 7 to 9. IDVM-India was allotted a 40 minutes slot to make its Power Point presentation covering two proposals, one being on the Surabhi Campaign and the other being on the on-going work of the Ministry.
With both the National Chairman of the ISKCON Golden Jubilee Celebrations Committee of India, His Grace Sura das and the Global Chairman of the ISKCON Golden Jubilee Celebrations Committee, His Grace Pancharatna das already endorsing the Surabhi Campaign, the leadership of the IIAC adopted the following resolution (to be ratified in the weeks to come) to help introduce the Mandate of the Ministry in all ISKCON centers of India:
Whereas IDVM-India has been established in the year 2009 to help promote the Vedic principles of “Simple Living and High Thinking” based on the universal concepts of self-sufficiency and sustainability,
Whereas IDVM-India has been working closely with and is a shareholder in the Strategic Planning Network (SPN) global initiative committee called Sustainable Vaisnava Communities (SVC) promoting similar ideals as the Ministry,
Whereas IDVM-India has launched a global campaign on January 1, 2015 entitled “OM Sri Surabhi Campaign” to bring awareness about the need to integrate Mother Surabhi in our daily lives as essential in preserving and maintaining our Vedic culture,
Therefore IIAC recommends that each ISKCON center establish a department promoting the concepts of Sustainable Vaisnava Communities and increased cow awareness, thus working more closely with the Ministry.
In a separate presentation made by His Grace Damodar Dulal das, Minister for Cow Protection and Agriculture in India, the members of the IIAC arranged for the financial support from several larger temples who spontaneously contributed over one lakh rupees towards cow protection.[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container][fusion_builder_container background_color=”” background_image=”” background_parallax=”none” enable_mobile=”no” parallax_speed=”0.3″ background_repeat=”no-repeat” background_position=”left top” video_url=”” video_aspect_ratio=”16:9″ video_webm=”” video_mp4=”” video_ogv=”” video_preview_image=”” overlay_color=”” overlay_opacity=”0.5″ video_mute=”yes” video_loop=”yes” fade=”no” border_size=”0px” border_color=”” border_style=”” padding_top=”20px” padding_bottom=”20px” padding_left=”0px” padding_right=”0px” hundred_percent=”no” equal_height_columns=”no” hide_on_mobile=”no” menu_anchor=”” class=”” id=””][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][fusion_text]
