Kala prabhu’s daughter, son-in-law and their three children have been doing farming since the last few years in the Province of Ontario. More recently they relocated to a larger property that provides them with more facilities and greater opportunity to grow various crops. The garden has expanded since previous years and a good variety of vegetables are now growing.

Kala prabhu has been regularly visiting this farm as well as other farms this year as part of his pledge to commemorate ISKCON Golden Jubilee by lecturing at 50 ISKCON centers across Canada. What follows are what a he recently shared about this visits to various farm communities and how they are to be supported by more and more devotees, as desired by Srila Prabhupada.

“The three farms in PEI are also unique. One is focused on garden market, another on permaculture and the third in general country life. So in this trip I have been to 7 farms each very interesting, four having cows.”

“Yesterday (July 25) it rained from 5am to around 8, then it remained cloudy for about 6 hours. I feel this was a direct reciprocation from Lord Krishna due to our collective focus on mother cow and agriculture. Thank you and everyone for this form of Sankirtan to please Srila Prabhupada.”

“Last night I was listening to some remembrances of Srila Prabhupada by senior devotees and one clip was Rameswar Prabhu ACBSP recalling how Srila Prabhupada said in the future as Kali Yuga progresses there would be massive unemployment for millions of people. Therefore we must develop these farms to provide employment to these millions and then gradually they will become devotees.”

Anak perempuan dari Prabhu Kala, menantu serta tiga oranng anaknya telah menggeluti pertanian sejak beberapa tahun yang lalu di provinsi Ontario. Beberapa belakangan ini mereka pindah ke lahan yang lebih luas memberikan mereka fasilitas yang lebih dan kesempatan yang lebih bagus untuk menanam berbagai jenis tanaman. Kebun mereka telah diperluas sejak tahun hany lalu dan berbagai farietas sayuran sekarang telah tumbuh.

Prabhu Kala secara rutin mengunjungi tempat ini dan juga kebun kebun yang lain tahun ini sebagai bagian dari kesibukannya dalam merayakan Tahun Keemasan ISKCON dengan memberikan pelajaran di 50 ISKCON center di seluruh Canada. Berikut dibawah ini adalah sharing tentang kunjungan ke berbagai komunitas pertanian dan bagaimana para penyembah bisa mensuport mereka, seperti yang diinginkan oleh Srila Prabhupada.

“Tiga kebun di PEI juga sangat unik. Satu diantaranya fukus dengan kebun sebagai pasar, yang lain focus dengan Permaculture dan yang ketiga focus dengan kehidupan desa secara umum. Jadi dalam perjalanan ini saya telah mengunjungi 7 kebun dan masing masing sangatlah menarik, dan empat kebun diantaranya memiliki sapi.”

 “Kemarin ( 25 Juli) hujan turun dari jam 5  sampai dengan jam 8 pagi, kemudian berlanjut mendung hingga 6 jam. Saya merasa ini merupakan karunia langsung dari Sri Krishna karena kita telah focus kepada ibu sapi dan pertanian. Trimakasih kepada anda dan semuanya yang telah mengadakan Sankirtan untuk memuaskan Srila Prabhupada”.

 “Kemarin malam saya mendengarkan beberapa rekaman kenangan tentang Srila Prabhupada dari penyembah senior dan dalam video clip tersebut Rameswar Prabhu ACBSP menyebutkan bagaimana Srila Prabhupada menyampaikan di masa depan sebagaiman Kali Yuga telah berkembang akan terjadi peningkatan jumlah pengangguran yang besar kepada jutaan orang. Oleh karena itu kita harus mengembangkan perkebunan ini untuk memberikan pekerjaan kepada jutaan orang ini dan secara berangsur angsur mereka akan menjadi penyembah”
