Tri Dharma Yoga is an ISKCON Centre which is located in Lampung, Sumatra Island, Indonesia. HH Bhakti Raghava Swami Maharaj accompanied by Kisora Krishna prabhu, Yadhava Hari prabhu and Vishnurata das visited this center on August 05, 2019. We got to stay there overnight before continuing our journey to Gita Nagari Baru project which is located in another part of Sumatra Island.

The devotees had acquired this land 10 years ago. At present they have a small building comprising a kitchen and a prasadam hall. This hall is also used as the kirtan hall because the altar is next to the kitchen in front of the hall. Of course, in the near future, they plan to build a separate building exclusively for the temple.

At this centre, they have two cows and they also grow different vegetables and flowers all around this land. Presently there are 13 families who serve this project. Most of them are farmers by occupation.

“…Just a few months ago we have built a Sannyasa Kutir here for the visiting sannyasis and senior bramacaris. The building is mostly made of bamboo from the devotees’ farm. I myself serve here fulltime, growing some vegetables for our daily offering. Sometimes the grihasthas also bring some organic vegetables from their own garden at home. This place is nice and close to the beach. We try to develop this center, build a nice temple, guest house, brahmacari ashram and some shelter for the vanaprasthas who are willing to dedicate their lives for Srila Prabhupada’s mission…,” explained HG DhiraSantha prabhu, a fulltime devotee who had been serving for quite some times in our Sahyadri Sri Krishna Balaram Kshetra farm project in Hebri, Udupi district, Karnataka, India.

On August 06, 2019, HH Bhakti Raghava Swami Maharaj was giving 2 hours class on Varnasrama in the hall of that beautiful Sannyasa kutir. All the 13 families of the congregational devotees were assembled to listen to the class. Maharaj was inspiring the devotees to keep everything natural for the pleasure of the Lord. The class was very interactive, many relevant questions were asked by the devotees. The class was translated by HG Kisora Krishna prabhu, and who as the National Minister for Agriculture and Cow Protection has made praiseworthy contributions in his field of service in “ISKCON in Indonesia”.

After the class, we continued our journey towards Gita Nagari Baru – a project of Vaisnava village.
