Dr Srinivas, recently appointed as the ISKCON Daiva Varnasrama Ministry- India (IDVM– India) Consultant for Ayurveda, conducted a three-day Ayurveda workshop on Dinacaryaand Rtucarya(January 25 – 27, 2019) in his farm named Devakinandana Farm (area of about 10 acres), Hyderabad, Telangana. This farm has a goshala with 50 cows (including bulls and calves). They just harvested a good quantity of corn, and presently they have some sugarcane, green vegetables and other miscellaneous vegetation.
On the first day (i.e. on January 25, 2019) HH RP Bhakti Raghava Swami Maharaj, heading the Dharma Gau Gram Yatra was invited for the opening lecture. This Ayurveda workshop was attended by over 50 students.
In his lecture, Maharaj was speaking about the importance of ancient Vedic knowledge in which Ayurveda is one of them. Besides that Maharaj also spoke about the basics of spiritual philosophy highlighting the importance of Bhagavad-gita. He said,
“I came to Krishna consciousness by the grace of HDG AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, I came to Krishna consciousness through Bhagavad-gita, Bhagavad-gita is not only for the Hindus, but it is also for everyone. Bhagavad-gita is a book of knowledge. Bhagavad-gita is the ABC of spiritual knowledge, it is the foundation of all knowledge.”
Maharaj also elaborated and emphasized the importance of the Vedic culture which is very much dependent on mother cow.
The lecture was very much appreciated by the audience, who also asked a few questions to get a deeper understanding of the subject.
