Amidst lush green Aravali hills and on banks of the perennial river Sumer, is the village Sumer situated. This is one of the green belts of Rajisthan. Aravalis are the only hilly ranges of Rajisthan and they act as boon and curse for Rajisthan, as one side of the ranges get plenty of rainfall due to rain fed monsoon winds and the other side get scanty rainfall as the monsoon winds don’t get to reach here as they are blocked by ranges; therefore its dry and deserted.
We reached the village welcomed by big herd of village cows returning from grazing (godhuli time). We were hosted in a devotee’s house. Since it was already dark we begun the program with kirtan and lecture on glories of Damodar month and glories of Go mata. Kartik lamps were offered and oath to serve mother Cow was taken and later prasadam was distributed. About 40-50 participants was attended.
In the morning the preaching team had a auspicious bath in the river and later mangala arati was performed. After japa around 7.30 am go puja was performed and we went around the huge village performing gram sankirtan also books were distributed.
