This is the sixth Quarterly Report summarizing the on-going developments of the OM Sri Surabhi Campaign – 2015 to 2027. All reports are published on our website at www.srisurabhi.org and can downloaded when needed.

Gau Kripa Mahotsava – April 8 to 16

The well-established institution called PATHMEDA organized a successful 9-day festival centered on cow care and cow protection. The event was attended by Spiritual leaders from various Sampradayas attended the event and daily shared discourses on the importance and need of Mother Surabhi. Devotees from IDVM-India attended fie days of the event. One of the noteworthy events was the erection of a Pandal where 1000 brahmanas recited the Srimad-Bhagavatam to 1000 selected cows who were nicely decorated and hearing the recital.

Visited Countries

Since April right up until the end of June, different devotees from the IDVM-India have visited 10 different countries making presentations on the Surabhi Campaign. The countries include India, Indonesia (April 18 to May 15), Malaysia (May 16 to 17), Hong Kong (May 17 to 25), Cambodia (May 25 to June 7), Australia (June 7 to June 14), Balaramdesh and Damodar Desh (June 14 to June 25), Switzerland (June 25 to June 29) and Canada (June 29… on-going).

Most of those outreach programs were reported on our website for those who would like more information. In all places visited, the response from devotees was very encouraging and positive. We hope to continue this important outreach program throughout this special year of ISKCON’s Golden Jubilee.

Up-Coming Events

Various devotees will continue promoting the OM Sri Surabhi Campaign in the following countries during the three up-coming months: 1) Canada (from July 1 to August 3), 2) West Africa (from August 4 to 14, covering Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo and Nigeria), 3) France, 4) Russia (from August 24 to 28), 5) Ukraine (from August 28 to September 2) and 6) Canada (September).

Sri Govinda Gau Gram Prachar Yatra – Second Phase

In June 2016 devotees have started the second phase of the Sri Govind Gau Gram Prachar Yatra inaugurated in Tripathi itself with the presence of Temple President and GBC member Sriman Revati Raman prabhu as well as Sri Rama prabhu and Sri Krishna Purusottama prabhu officially representing IDVM-India. Before the end of June, the devotees covered 7 new villages bringing the number of villages to 75. Devotees have pledged to cover 108 villages during the auspicious Golden Jubilee celebrations of ISKCON.

Surabhi Campaign Survey

The Ministry is presently conducting a short survey from among the more involved members of IDVM-India and some devotees in other countries. Once the results are compiled, these will be made available to devotees in general.

Gau Raksha Indonesia (GAURI)

Indonesia Peduli Surabhi Network (IPSN) established last year in Indonesia for the protection and care of cows has recently announced a new name for its program to more directly reflect their focus as outlined in the Bhagavad-gita, krishi go raksha vanijiyam (Gita 18, 44). IPSN now officially becomes GAURI, Gau Raksa Indonesia.

Go Puja on Purnima

Devotees from different countries are taking the vow to perform Go Puja on every Purnima of the month. Indonesia leads the way with the performance of some 28 Go Pujas on different islands of the country. The OM Sri Surabhi Campaign organizers invite devotees from different countries to take up this most auspicious practice. Go Pujas were performed in Hong Kong, Australia and Cambodia when devotees visited recently.

Surabhi Campaigners Guide in German

Jaya Rama prabhu from Zurich who organized the recent tour for the IDVM-India Ministry in Switzerland translated the OM Sri Surabhi CAMPAIGNER’S GUIDE in German language as well as the Sacred Prayers to Mother Cow. The Campaigner’s Guide is a practical tool that can help anyone interested to get started and help introduce the campaign in his particular area. We also encourage devotees to translate it in your local languages thus reaching out to more people.

Saranagati Zebu Herd Expanding

Last year devotees at Saranagati had received their first herd of four Zebu cows. They had been told two of them were pregnant but unfortunately it turns out none of the cows were pregnant. Not having a Zebu bull, the devotees arrange for a zebu bull to live with the cows for one month at the end of last year. Devotee had performed a Go Puja for that occasion and had named the visiting bull “Manu” praying that he would help populate this small herd of cows. In mid June this year devotees reported that two new calves were born thus giving great hope for future generations to come. All glories to Manu.

Video Series and PPTs cross 25 Weeks

IDVM-India through the efforts of our Webmaster for srisurabhi.org, Syamananda prabhu, assisted by a Review Team of five devotees, continues to bring out both the Video Series as well as the Power Points every singly Friday of the week. So far the devotees have covered 25 weeks and the work is on-going.

We invite viewers to refer any potential devotee who could be interviewed on any subject matter related to the varnasrama mission.

Surabhi Campaigners “Outreach Kit”

We have put together an “Outreach Kit” for devotees desiring to be involved in the Surabhi Campaign, The “Outreach Kit” comprises of various material useful for anyone interested to officially represent the Surabhi Campaign in his or her area. The material covers various Power Pointes, Videos, pamphlets, documents, etc., that can be useful for someone wishing to promote the Surabhi Campaign. Altogether some 24 GB of data has been compiled and place on a pen drive. Those interested may write to info@srisurabhi.org

Campaign Branding

Subhananda Hari prabhu and Manjunath prabhu have been preparing banners and T-shirts to help spread awareness to people in general about the Surabhi Campaign. Samples of these can be found on our website at www.srisurabhi.org

Africa, Nigeria

“Hare Krishna beloved devotees. We are pleased to inform you that history has repeated itself as the scripture have it, that a King of the name His Royal Majesty Alaiyeluwa oba (Dr.) F.R. “Go Puja was introduced at the Langenthal Temple in Switzerland on June 25, 2016. The deity of Mother Surabhi was donated by Akincana Krsna prabhu who is based in Dubai. Jaya Rama prabhu from Switzerland translated the OM Sri Surabhi Campaigner’s Guide in German language as well as the Sacred Prayer to Mother Surabhi that was recited by all devotees present. Dubai

The Damodar Desh Yatra donated USA $ 1,000 to the OM Sri Surabhi Campaign in an effort to promote the activities of the campaign.

Sri Sharad Tripathi, MP elected from Sant Kabir, Uttar Pradesh in Lok Sabha Election year 2014 visited ISKCON Bahrain on June 20^th, 2016 and met with IDVM-India Minister.

India, Delhi

Devotees from the OM Sri Surabhi Campaign participated at the National Conference on Govansh and Goushalas in Delhi with approximately 15,000 participants from across India in attendance.
