[/fusion_text][fusion_separator style_type=”none” top_margin=”10″ bottom_margin=”” sep_color=”” icon=”” width=”” class=”” id=””/][fusion_text]After celebrating Gaur purnima festival in Sridham Mayapur, H.H.Bhakti Raghava Swami went on a preaching tour with a small group of devotees: Prabhu nityananda prabhu,Narahari Thakur( both from West Bengal), Vishnuratha prabhu (from Indonesia) who completed his Bhakti shastri in Mayapur, Bhakta Shaktivel from Tamilnadu and I visited a Village named “Aamjam” in Midunapur district, West Bengal.

We reached Aamjam by early evening. As we entered the village, we heard harinama, as a few villagers awaited our arrival to receive us, doing kirtan. We got down from our car and accompanied them, children and women joining us with tumultuous sounds of conch.

In the evening, after doing Gaura arathi, Maharaja introduced all the devotees to the family who invited us. A while later, Biplab Mahashoya introduced his family members as this was Maharaja’s first visit to this village. Then in a short interactive session, Maharaja said that it was probably the first time that some foreigners were visiting this village; that actually we are all foreigners in this material and that our business is to realize this and go back home back to Godhead. After a few more exchanges, we all took rest.

In the morning on March 8th, we attended all the morning programs as usual. At 8.00 am, His Holiness spoke on the Srimad Bhagavatam, introducing the basic concepts of Krishna consciousness and the necessity of approaching a bona fide spiritual master.

At 10.00am, we visited Virat raja ghar, a historical place. Here, the Pandavas were in exile; they took shelter of the king of Virat. Maharaja narrated the story of wicked Duryodhana stealing cows from the Goshala of king Virat, on the plea of finding the Pandavas, and of Arjuna fighting and rescuing the cows. Presently, a structure is being converted into a temple and the work is underway.

In the evening after Gaura arathi, His Holiness spoke on Sanatana dharma and varnasrama dharma and the importance of cow protection and Brahminical culture. In the end, Maharaja also had a video shown on theme of the “Sri Surabhi Campaign.” A few of Srila Prabhupada’s books were distributed.

Finally, everyone was served delicious Krishna prasadam.[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
